Hawaii pt. 2 & 27 Weeks
Welcome to week 27 of Morgan's life.
At our doctor appointments this week we discussed quite a bit of options and information. As you may recall from week 26 I have to be monitored to make sure I don't have mirror syndrome. That is where I would start to retain fluid just like Morgan.
Good news: my blood pressure is great and I am not retaining fluid! We got to see Baby Morgan and hear his heartbeat. We tried to get a recording of the heartbeat but the ultrasound machine wasn't working with us. Next week we will try again.
Not so good news: the doctors cannot find Morgan's cerebellum. This may be because he's too full of fluid for them to see it, or it may not be developed all the way. No one is certain of which one it is.
Other decisions made: we decided against doing the amniocentesis because we feel that he is under enough stress as it is already. We also don't want to risk him getting poked with needles and leaving us earlier than planned. So no needles right now for him.
He has been breach for quite a while and likes to hang out in my ribs. I think he's trying to hide from the doctors. I can feel bruising in my ribs since he thinks it's a fun game to push on them all day and night. We had to get me a bump belt since my back has been hurting quite a bit as he grows. Morgan does not like habanero spice level of foods but does enjoy a more milder spiciness in his diet. He also does not enjoy being up early in the morning and makes sure I am aware of this by making me feel very tired, sick (not nauseous) until about 9 or 10 am.
We continue to pray for his health daily and trust in Gods path for us as a family. Please continue to keep Morgan in your prayers.
